Otage / Southland – Overnighter to Alexandra
An update from the Branch President:
Hi Team Bimmer,
How is every one rolling? Stewart and Debbie Divers, Chris and Steph, our Timaru members, and Lynley and I did the overnighter to Alexandra, at the invitation of the Alfa Romeo Club. We had a great time, leaving Dunedin at 2pm and stopping at Lawrence for coffee, arriving in Alexandra about 5pm. Their Alexandra member opened his home to us for a pot luck dinner, with 5 Alfa members and their wives. Next day we left at 10am for a social rally as far as Ophir, Clyde, and finishing for lunch at The Packing Shed Cafe at Earnscleugh for lunch and prize giving. We did not win any, but close. Then we made our way home about 3pm. This was a very successful event, Next year we will host a similar trip from Dunedin. The Alfa Romeo Club were so hospitable to us, really great people with an enthusiastic attitude to their cars and motoring. They are about the same size as us.
